• What another great night on Plantation Key
  • I love when the people of God come expecting Him to move greatly!
  • Matt, Aaron, and Jesse did an awesome job leading worship!
  • There were FIVE first time visitors!
  • Fred Garmon gave an awesome word. Now, I wanna be a “Turtle on a post!”
  • TWO young people made the most amazing decision last night, and gave their lives to Christ. SO Awesome!!
  • I’m using a lot of exclamation points!!…i KNOW!!! I’m just that excited! :)
  • Getting to check out Trav and Kelly’s new crib after service was super sweet. However, it turned a bit hostile when we had the idea to race the 40 yard dash in the middle of the street. No one was harmed, but someone might want to check on that ‘ole pastor of ours. His old bones might be hurting a bit!

Plantation Key is still rockin’. I don’t expect it to slow down. Cool people with HUGE hearts for the Lord. It can only get more awesome! Have a great week!

I definitely just realized that most of my posts have pictures. I’m a huge visual learner, and I always like to put a visual with anything I say or learn. I’m the worst at sitting through a lecture, and just listening to the speaker say whatever it is he/she says. After the first 2 minutes I’m usually  scoping out the room, people, thinking about what happened that morning, what’s going to happen later, and I’ll leave knowing nothing more than what I came in knowing.

I’ll blame being so visual as the reason why I love to paint (abstractly), take photographs, and why I even major in Art. I love hands on stuff.

Hats off to you audible learners. I just can’t do it. I’ll just blame my visualesness (i’m just going to make up words now) on being the middle child. I’m sure somehow it links together :)

So, I write all of this and I don’t even put a picture up to go along. Awww man! haha

I’m speechless.

What an amazing night on Plantation Key. Purely awesome. When you have services like we did last night, I think Travis said it best, “Our hearts just become knitted together.”

Praying for our Pastor Crossing the Line and Being Commissioned

  1. One of our new attenders told me that they had strayed away from God the past couple of years, but that they recently had a sudden “awakening” from God, and “missed God in their life”, so they just started calling everyone in their address book (christian and non-christian) to tell them that, ” I LOVE GOD!” I thought that was awesome!
  2. Knowing that God was orchestrating last night’s service was apparent when in the middle of the service time one of our LPC family members asked to pray for our pastor. As a family, we all came together and prayed for him. Powerful!
  3. It was awesome getting to “cross the line” with my church family, and be commissioned as Travis prayed over everyone individually.
  4. Watching a MOUSE run back-and-forth across the stage during a very inopportune time…Super GROSS!!
  5. After wrapping the service up no one moved from their seat for a few minutes. The presence of God was so great. No one wanted to leave.

Life Pointe Church – Plantation Key is ROCKIN’!!! I’m totally diggin’ what God is doing there right now, and I’m definitely looking forward to what is coming!

Have a great week!

Aquire the Fire What a great theme for this weekend…”Here Comes Trouble!” I spent this weekend with some pretty awesome peeps at Aquire the Fire – Miami. It was an awesome time of reconnecting with God, experiencing some serious healing of the heart, and reaching out for God to fill us to the top. It was so encouraging to see young people worshipping with their whole heart with complete abandon to all that was around them.

My prayer for the of young people of Life Pointe Church that had the chance to go is to not forget what God did FOR them and IN them this weekend, and to keep an extreme focus on God no matter what. So, I do well with change. Atleast, I think I do. Change happens quite frequently growing up in a pastor’s home. Whether it was moving back and forth between two states, moving to new churches, or always being presented with meeting new people, I think I handled it all well.

Right now, in life ,I have a load of  new changes coming my way. Marriage being the biggest one of all, but it’s all the little changes that make it even bigger. I’m a little bit bombarded with figuring out insurance for Mike and I, trying to get finances prepared and debt paid off, helping to get our house ready to live in, and probably the second greatest change to marriage would be standing along Mike as he’s taken the Campus Pastor position at Life Pointe Church Plantation Key. What a great experience that has been! I’m loving every minute of it. Amazing people, with enormous hearts for Jesus. It’s awesome! Although, it’s a great responsibility, it is one that I am looking forward to more than ever. I know that God is stretching Mike and I, teaching us already how to balance all the life has in store.

Why am I saying all this? Well, I guess I also think about everyone else dealing with change, whether it be good or bad. Then I look at all of my changes, good and bad, and think there is nothing I would change one bit. I know that God has a reason for everything that He is walking me through right now, and I can’t wait to see the end result!

  • What a great family that is forming on Plantation Key. Loving people, with BIG hearts for the Lord. In the words of Autumn Langely…”pure awesome-ness!”
  • Watching Travis and Johnte go straight up WWF on each other makes me think we have a cooler pastor than you! I mean, c’mon, has your pastor ever wrestled a church member in the middle of the sanctuary?
  • Mike (a.k.a my handsome man) preached his first sermon(s) at the Homestead campus and Plantation Key campus. I’m so proud of him! He did GREAT! :)
  • Watching everyone hangout after service playing Guitar Hero and ping-pong warmed my heart :) I’m just really diggin’ the family vibe.
  • Getting SIX first “timer” connection cards, and TWO decisions for Christ was so awesome. God is doing great things on Plantation Key. You should check it out!

I’m stopped at a blogging block right now. Nothing too much going on in the past few weeks. LifePointe-PK is going amazingly well. I continue to meet more and more awesome people every week. Working on our new house, and helping to get it all fixed up. It’s looking great! Wedding preparations are in full swing, and I have a feeling that they won’t relent until I walk down that aisle in 3 months. I can deal, though =p

I hope life is in “full swing” for everyone else as well. I mean, c’mon. If life was at a stand still, it would be pretty ridiculously boring!

Wow! Awesome, awesome weekend! A brand new year, a painting party, and a great Sunday night service on Plantation Key…couldn’t have been any better!

We had a GREAT time painting the parsonage on Saturday! Thanks to some super amazing people helping out, and knocking out some serious painting obstacles.

Paintin' away!

The best part was getting to know some of our new church family. Fellowship is always the best, and one of the more important things in my Christian walk. Hearing life stories, good and bad, it’s always great getting to know some really cool peeps! =) The house is looking great!

Practically brand new. Can’t wait to see the finished product!

LPC-Plantation Key…I have no words! I’m just in complete amazement of how everything is going down there. I’m literally itching to be living there already! I have never met a group of people who are so giving of their time

and energy, and are happy to do it! I love all my new family there. I appreciate ALL of you!!

Have a great week! :)

So, here I am. I figured I’d jump on board with the blogging world and give it a whirl. Besides, it’s a new year with new things to come, so why not?

I was trying to think of predictable events of 2009, but besides the usual birthdays and holidays nothing came to the immediate mind, but then….I realized…

1. Mike and I just jumped on board with Travis and Life Pointe…Plantation Key is gonna ROCK!!

2. The unknown of 2009 is just purely awesome!

And the biggest event of all will take place on April 17, 2009 at 5pm…

3. Michael and I will be saying, “I, do” and start our lives together!…Exciting!!!

I can’t wait to see  what else God has in store for my life and yours!
